You need to analyze the current market and your competitors before starting a life as a retailer and building your retail empire. A business plan usually follows suit. A lot is needed before you can start your life as retailer. Retailing requires you to have proficient and above average marketing and sales skills. You may require all the support you can get from family and friends, this includes financial, emotional and otherwise. Life as a retailer, is more consumer driven, you always have to know what your consumers may want next, that means you will always have to be at least a couple of steps ahead of your clients and consumers.
